The Vision: A 50-KM Ecological Belt The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) and the Dhare Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a massive "Green Ring" around Bengaluru. The initiative involves planting two crore (20 million) saplings within a 50-km radius of the Vidhana Soudha. 2. Strategic Zonal Breakdown The project is divided into three distinct ecological zones to ensure scientific urban planning: Urban Core (0–10 km): 20 lakh saplings will be planted in parks, schools, and roadside vacant lands using high-density methods like the Miyawaki technique.
