After years of anticipation, Tesla Inc. has officially stepped into the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market. The U.S.-based EV giant opened its first showroom on July 15, 2025, at the upscale Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai.

The company has launched its global best-seller, the Model Y, for the Indian market.

  • Long Range AWD variant – around ₹70 lakh (expected later)
    (Prices are higher due to 70-100% import duties on fully built units)

Delivery & Booking

  • Bookings are open now.

  • Deliveries will begin in Q3 2025.

  • Initially, units will be imported from Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory.
